A Powerful Pocket Computer

When I was a child, I played with small pieces of cardboard, drawing screens and keyboards on them; they were minicomputers, imaginary machines the size of my hand. I dreamed that in the distant future, long after I had died, people might have powerful computers that fit in their pockets. I wonder what would have happened if one day my future self had visited me and said, “When you grow up, you'll have a pocket computer even more powerful and advanced than the spacecraft that put man on the Moon.” I would have lost my mind. I surely would have asked how much I could do with that magnificent piece of technology, what I could use it for; and the answer would have been less magnificent: “to spend all day looking at the stupid shit other people say”…
